Mud Pump

The P-500/G2 by American Augers is a stand alone-self powered mud pump that is the perfect accessory for use with mud motors, large reamers, or whenever more mud volume is needed down hole.  The P-500/G2 should be considered when working in rock formations where the operating drills on-board mud pump has fluid-limited capacities, and can't simply produce enough pressure to drive the mud motor. Additionally the P-500/G2 allows the operator to get enough flow to keep the bore flushed clean of cuttings. The P-500/G2 is designed with a compact skid mounting, and provides a small footprint that is ideal for most drilling environments. Compatible with any drilling brand, the P-500/G2 should be the mud pump of choice for all drillers who operate a variety of sizes, makes, and models of drilling equipment.

Mud motors offer the proven way to get acceptable penetration rates when drilling in hard formations and rock. The mud pump has to supply the mud motor, but also has to flush the cuttings to the surface for disposal. The table below shows typical flow rates for popular size mud motors.
